Prepare and Submit

Preparing your Proposal

In an effort to streamline your submission process, you will find in the links below that NWSA has created templates, resources, and helpful guidelines for each proposal submission form. We highly encourage your use of our templates to prepare strong proposals. Our templates align directly with the steps within our submission site to assist you in this process!  This will help guide your submission; these templates are not a vehicle in which to submit your proposal. Please review each these pages, if you have any questions after reviewing please feel free to reach out to the National Office (NationalOffice@nwsa.org) before completing your submission. We strongly recommend reviewing the details provided in our 2026 Call for Proposals document, which breaks down each of our session formats, submission types, and other helpful information.

Submitting your Proposal

The 2026 NWSA Annual Conference submission portal X-CD (pronounced "exceed") opens February 2nd, 2026. Only complete submissions, submitted via our portal will be reviewed for consideration. Please remember that your username/login credentials to X-CD are separate from your account details for the official nwsa.org site. Be sure to keep records of your login information for X-CD after you create your profile.

The Association limits presenters to two (2) presentation sessions in order to: build a balanced conference schedule, honor the need for wellness in what can be a very capitalist space of expected (constant) production, and to allow for more diverse presenter participation.
