Anyone can be a member of the National Women's Studies Association!

NWSA invites all those with a passion for feminism to become members, no matter the type of your degree.

Individual memberships are for individual people, institutional memberships are for organizations, programs, departments, and centers. Institutional members receive, as part of this membership package, one (1) administrator account and up to three (3) student memberships to assign at their own discretion. If you are unsure of which membership is most appropriate, please do not hesitate to contact our office. 

The limit does not exist! You are welcome to join as many Constituency Groups as you would like - please note, however, that some our of Caucus groups (a type of Constituency Group) requires dues.

Unfortunately, life memberships are no longer available for purchase. We recommend selecting auto renewal upon becoming a member so that your membership never expires!

An active Association membership provides discounted member pricing for all of our virtual and in-person programs and initiatives. For example, NWSA members always receive discounted pricing for our Annual Conference registration. Members of the public are able to attend NWSA programs by creating an account and paying, when applicable, non-member event fees!

On our login page select 'Did You Forget Your Password?' and enter your email and you will immediately receive a link to reset your password. 

Your membership will expire at the close of every year on 12/31; in line with our bylaws as a nonprofit  - chartered in the State of Maryland - The term of membership is one (1) year, renewable at its end. Annual membership follows the calendar year (January 1–December 31), regardless of when dues are paid. In an effort to balance access and the fiscal demands of daily operations, we are able to roll memberships purchased 10/01 onwards to the next year.

If your membership is up to date, you are welcome to join our Constituency Groups - they are located in the "all communities" tab under "NWSA Community", which are viewable when you are logged into your account. Please note that there are a number of Caucus groups that warrant additional membership dues; you can pay those dues on the "Constituency Groups" page located under the "membership" tab. 

If you would like to cancel your membership with the NWSA please email our office at NationalOffice@nwsa.org.

Please note that the National Women's Studies Association does not refund membership dues, as is listed on our Membership page.

NWSA Members receive reduced rates for the NWSA conference, the earlier your register the lower the cost! All presenters accepted into the conference program are required to hold active memberships in addition to securing conference registrations. Please explore the details under our "Annual Conference" menu for more information!

While we aim to meet the needs of our attendees with compassion and as much flexibility as possible, the NWSA does not provide registration refunds for our Annual Conference.

If our event or program is canceled or postponed due to circumstances beyond our control, we will work with registrants to provide appropriate refunds should we be unable to reschedule the initiative.
